@element Great, you removed the ability to have pinned favourites. Wonderful. Now I need even more clicks to find what I need. Brilliant for my ADHD brain.

As a workaround:

Either go to the top of all chats (the house icon) and select favorites there.

Or create a private space and add all your favorite rooms there.

I also think it was unnecessary to remove it. At least it could have been left there for activation under settings.

I know, both are possible, but both require more clicks and me being active (having to switch filters/spaces).

Before I simply had a handful of favourites pinned to the top, which was way easier for my brain in general, and also required less clicks.

A solution would be to be able to pin filters, to create something like before (and maybe also being able to combine filters)

Hm, ich verstehe day Problem vermutlich nicht.

Wenn du einen neuen privaten Space namens "Favoriten" erstellst
-> ein Bild eines Sterns verwendest
-> den Space nach oben schiebst
-> die favorisierten Räume einfügst,
hast du im Prinzip das selbe.
Mit einmalig ca. 10 Minuten Aufwand.

@rumo Hast du eben nicht. Vorher waren Favoriten durchgehend sichtbar, da musste nichts angeklickt oder konfiguriert werden. Wie das bei favorisierten Kontakten halt auch sein sollte. Man konnte sie allerdings einklappen, wenn man wollte. Für mein ADHS-Gehirn, was alles möglichst sichtbar braucht, hervorragend.

Das geht jetzt nicht mehr, und ich muss aktiv klicken, und dann auch wieder zurückspringen, und den Spaß händisch konfigurieren, etc.

Das ist eine deutliche Verschlechterung zu vorher

@rumo Und dazu muss ich den Spaß jedes Mal anpassen wenn ich einen neuen Kontakt als Favorit haben möchte. Das war vorher auch nicht nötig.

Element behandelt damit Favoriten auch anders als jeder andere Messenger, den ich benutze.

Guten Morgen.

Das mit jeden neuen Favoriten in den zusätzlichen Space hinzufügen, verstehe ich.
Dann noch zusätzlich den Raum als Favorit markieren, damit er in den Spaces ausgewählt werden kann.

Hab Element dazu gestern Nachmittag schon auf LinkedIn geschrieben, weil sie den Button ohne Not entfernt haben. Hätte als aktivierbare Option belassen werden können.

Ich selbst habe so 10-15 Favoriten und die ändern sich sehr selten. Ist dann nur einmalig ein paar Sekunden Arbeit.

@element while i appreciate the refresh (it looks very good!) i'd love it even better if Element Desktop would feel less sluggish… which is probably hard with it being a single threaded electron app. But I see this is being worked on too finally (sliding sync, yay) and i'm not sure if the update does actually feel faster (not enough time to test yet)
