After so many years, how does the #AppleHome app remain so useless? For example, I want to retire my old #Alexa pucks in favour of the better sounding #HomePodsMini. I do however use the Alexa notifications for announcements to get the kids ready for school and remind them to eat food. Despite the Siri-smarts built into the ‘pods and the presence of an intercom function in the Home app, scheduled announcements are not a thing.

And, yeah, #HomeAssistant’s ‘pod integration isn't much better.
