The headlines should be, but won't be:
"Trump embarrasses himself and the US in incoherent, rambling, shameful speech at the UN"
@petergleick I wonder how many in attendance were nervously googling to see if his stupidity was contagious.
@petergleick he actually showed up?! Every time I hear him speak, I’m appalled he’s in a position of power, regardless of my politics- he’s dumb, and rambles like a buffoon.
@petergleick @meraord He embarrasses the entire species, IMHO.

@petergleick Denmark’s largest newspaper: “The audience’s reaction was like at a family party where the embarrassing uncle just goes on and on”

@sorenhave @petergleick - although to be fair, even here in Denmark this should have been the headlines since his first campaign, and yet it's only now that the press is presenting his inane babbling in a factual manner...

@petergleick It feels kind of moot to ask this, but is he OK?

This speech was particularity mentally deranged even for Trump.

@petergleick well, at least one Dutch instance has a title like that.
@petergleick the problem is that would be admitting they didn't do that the last 1000 times the man just went completely nuts
@petergleick I did see one comment that his speech demonstrated that he is mad
@petergleick im in the uk and trump is how we see all Americans, im dorry
@petergleick I read 'incoherent' as 'incontinent' and thought I was about to get to cross off a space on my bingo card.

@petergleick Neh. "embarrassment is considered a "self-conscious emotion", and it can have a profoundly negative impact on a person's thoughts or behavior. Usually, some perception of loss of honor or dignity (or other high-value ideals) is involved" says Wikipedia.

Does not apply. The witnesses in the room could be embarrassed to be there though!

@petergleick he doesn't feel embarrassment, I think.
