LOL it's the season, at least one of the kids of my co-worker has COVID. (multiple kids sick but only one testing positive). And at least two ham radio people not feeling well. My personal monitoring system flagging a surge. Although, no "red alert" as the first responder in the family here hasn't talked about any uptick in patients transported via ambulance. #covid

@ai6yr Just had a video visit with doctor about it, for paxlovid scrip. He commented that the current variant is relatively mild but extremely virulent. And yet said it's okay to stop isolating after the fifth day as long as there is no fever for 24 hours. Test not necessary.

I'll isolate until ALL symptoms are gone AND I've blown a negative test. But yes, this is nothing at all like Delta was. I feel shitty, but a long way from "I don't think I'll survive this" shitty.

I hear you.

When I had get some for spouse and kid, months back, first pharmacy said.

"Oh, we don't have any. Oh, wait, maybe, maybe we do? Oh, here is a whole box of #paxlovid doses! Wait, oh, no nevermind, these are expired so we will throw them all away! Nope, sorry! Throwing them away!"

So I drove frantically to the next pharmacy, in the next city to finally find some..
