I think the jealousy-adjacent dialog between Chapel and La'an is still a little too "we're trying to break free from a puritanical mindset" 21st-century. Wouldn't the two talk rather differently 236 years from today?

I enjoy these main characters _so much_. Pike. M'Benga. A younger Spock and Uhura. Chapel. Na'an. (Think I haven't seen Ortegas in this ep yet?) Good writing, good acting, good competence porn without leaning too hard into TNG's rare level of competence.
