The Third Reich didn't last 1,000 years. Pinochet was ousted with a referendum. And the US isn't exactly dealing with the smartest, most competent fascists. Those of you insisting that 2025 is forever need to read a book, touch grass, go to therapy, anything other than trying to make others quit.
So the part that concerns me is, I am actually slightly less worried about Trump and more worried about the billionaires and supreme court justices that give Trump his power. At some point the Trumpers will lose an election, but supreme court justices and billionaires serve for life.
And that means the *next* election—Democrats won't win every election for the rest of our lives, either—the supreme court and the billionaires can get a new weirdo in and resume the damage. You can maybe get around this with supreme court packing and hyperinflation, but nobody likes hyperinflation.
It's not as simple as "we're doomed" but it's not as simple as "vote them out" either
