@JimBliss The true antifascists—the anarchists, socialists, communists, and trade unionists who were the first targets of the Nazi SA—were the real #Antifa. They were the ones fighting on the streets of Berlin in 1932, not on D-Day in 1944, because that’s when fascism could still be fought. By the time the militaries of other empires intervened, it was already too late; the German left, along with millions of others, had already been massacred, imprisoned, or exiled.
@JimBliss I do not want to wait until my country has been taken over by fascists to start fighting back. The first battles should be happening now, in the streets, in the courts, in the hearts and minds of people. Sadly, like it was last time, these are battles that liberalism is fundamentally unequipped to fight because it refuses to acknowledge the enemy until it is too late.

@enoch_exe_inc I'm in complete agreement.

As I say, I was making a simple point with a single image. Suggesting there's a sad irony that those who once fought against fascism are now embracing it.

I was not suggesting we *should* wait until the mobilisation of armies is required.
