I was SO looking forward to this conference - so many cool new results with XIPE and XRISM, seeing many collaborators, exchanging ideas, going home with new projects. The microquasar conferences with their looong lunch/afternoon breaks are perfect for that!

And instead I'm stuck in a hotel with a bad cold (covid tests negative, so at least that) for the third day in a row 😭

And I can't even go home earlier because there are not direct flights to Amsterdam from Palermo until Saturday.

@vicgrinberg Oh no! Sorry to hear about the cold. I noticed I'd been seeing less of you. I don't know if I'd met you in person before. Saw your poster on dimming of GRS 1915+105. Get well soon!

@bramboro Sorry I did not get to talk to you more - Menglei, the lead author on the poster, is around though. He was pretty far in his PhD when he did this work (now all finished!), so he was pretty independent doing it!
