Steve Troughton-SmithCPU/GPU benchmarks this year are all over the place on these iPhone review units. Some showing the Air throttled, some showing it on par with the Pros, all inconsistent. Y'all need to let your devices finish migrating from your iCloud backups for a day or something
Keir@stroughtonsmith frankly benchmarks should be run on a device setup as new, where the only thing that they sign in to is the App Store in order to get the benchmark app(s) otherwise, as you say, there's all kinds of things going on in the background and you don't really know when it's actually *all* completed
Nicolás Alvarez@keir @stroughtonsmith Plenty of things happening in the background on a blank setup too, especially on devices with Apple Intelligence that need to download gigabytes of models.
