Spotted the stall for the #DiscoveryDrum at the #AutismEuropeCongress. It quickly became my go-to place for fast #Proprioceptive input. It is usually sold with toys to hide and find for kids (was designed by an #Autism class teacher), but I asked can I just buy the drum. They realised now there's an adult market, and I bought one for 100 euro. I cannot believe the instant proprioceptive & immediate calming I get ( i can get my whole lower arm in from elbow to hand). www.discoverydrum.com

@niamhgarvey That's much like what's traditionally known as a bran tub 'round these parts - where kids (or sometimes adults) stick their hands in and rummage around for gifts. Always liked that, it does feel nice on the hands.

(Bran tub, because historically, it would be filled with bran and chaff and any other unwanted dry byproducts from the farms.)
