At the time of Charlie Kirk's death he was worth $12 Million from a career built on endorsing the most vile racist, sexist, homophobic and violent ideals.
He regularly surrounded himself with and used his considerable wealth to directly support and evangelize specifically for white nationalist terrorists like Kyle Rottenhouse. He gleefully cheered for the assault on Pelosi's husband and offered to pay the attackers legal fees.
He loudly supported Israel's genocide saying Palestine can't exist.
Many ironies in this assassination I know meme makers and journalists will be busy for weeks on.
Few American stories have THIS degree of schadenfreude.
The mans every word so regrettable one needs only present Kirk's own statements and many people rapidly lose much sympathy for this vile white nationalist propagandist.
But the fact of the matter is many people on the left and especially Black people don't know who tf Kirk was during his life and are only learning about him today.
I must deeply underscore the level of no body Kirk was to Black people.
I personally follow right wing media bc I'm a media+geopol nerd but I don't know any Black activists who do. Out of hundreds of Black friends and family I only know one or two people who know who this shithead even was.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and go ahead and guess Kirk's killer wasn't Black.
Again Black people don't know who Kirk is and this happened on a Utah college campus, black mecca it ain't.
So imagine my surprise today when Black content creators started reporting a massive wave of death threats directed at them.
Typically not even for saying anything at all themselves, many people have only posted unfiltered clips of Kirk speaking bc, again that's really all most people needed to see to understand the events that happened yesterday and possible reasons why.
Major right wing accounts, politicians and billionaires on X and FB are doing their sabre rattling routines and frequently are describing what they saw yesterday as part of a "race war".
Again, I'm not sure why because there's been no confirmation of any particular suspects, motives or anything at all that makes Kirk's killing itself motivated by racism.
Further to the point, there's been no proof at all that Kirk was not killed by the many enemies on the right he's recently made.
Now while I don't think there is much reason prior to this week for many Black Americans to know who the fuck Kirk was, Charlie did recently make many enemies within the MAGA world.
Charlie Kirk wasn't much of a journalist but he did make a significant effort to cover the Epstain files.
As of one month ago Kirk continued to demand portions of the Epstein files saying "whatever they can release" should be provided by Trump to the GOP base for their own review.
Meanwhile for the last month the fascist watchers I know were saying Kirk had clearly gone too far in his recent streams and would be forced to give up the search for Epstein files or Trump might shun him.
I wasn't following it closely but I recall last month hearing that Kirk had flipped on the Epstein files after conversations with the White House.
This both angered Kirk's base(turns out young magas don't like pedophiles and want answers) and wasn't likely enough to appease older MAGAs.
I'm fairly certain in the last month Kirk had more gun totting MAGA hat wearing white folks madder at him than the sum total of all Black rage directed at him in his entire career.
Kirk can draw a crowd and has a reputation for sticking to positions that are dumb as fuck. For his crowd, changing his mind is rare. To back pedal on the Epstein stuff (bc he said the files would clear Trump) was a lightning rod for all sorts of maga conspiracy types.
So until a suspect or motive is found its impossible to really understand the full picture.
Sure seems pretty clear, a race war it is not.
Anyone saying otherwise is buying into fascist propaganda or selling it themselves.
Alright, the FBI has at long last posted the most credible suspect description along with a photo.
The suspect is unmistakably a young white male in presentation wearing an American flag emblazed shirt and bears an uncanny resemblance to D.B. Cooper.

Update in the manhunt for the alleged Kirk assassin, authorities have arrested a young man from the TINY city of Washington Utah who appears to be the 22yo son of the town's Sheriff.
So far the suspect appears to have no registered political party, has not voted in recent elections, is NOT trans and until the passed year or two family & friends said the young man wasn't very interested in politics save for allegedly a strong distaste for Charlie Kirk developed over the past year.
So far the media is running with a claim that the assassination weapon contained a shell casing which had "hey fascist, catch!" inscribed on it.
Due to the details so far this does seem like there are many parallels to the killing of UnitedHealth CEO Brian Thompson allegedly by Luigi.
Similarly to Luigi, Tyler Robinson is not the type of person many expect to commit a crime.
There's a lot of open questions, that are likely only to be fully proven in court so we'll see what develops.
How did I miss this the first time... Utah's governor Spencer Cox, literally said he was praying that Charlie Kirk's killer would be an immigrant or at least not from Utah.
Talk about saying the quiet parts out loud!
This entire investigation is full of officials who are profoundly biased and unable to even hide that.
Sure seems like a time for conservative white folks to look inward and figure out this white on white crime.
As continues to be the situation in this case there isn't really anything conclusive about the attackers motives. Earlier in this thread I explained some of the right wing in fighting that could be at play.

A lot of people watching this case think that analysis (RW infighting) is still possible bc the memes used by the attacker are sometimes all used by right wing groups who strongly disliked Charlie Kirk.
Someone made a helpful flier on this segment of the right wing.
Can't help but notice that The Guardian and Wall Street Journal have both voluntarily retracted claims originally suggesting the suspect in Kirk's death was a leftist.
I post this not because I think it strengthens the claims of any particular ideology but as one more marker in the shear volume of misinformation and disinformation spread by sloppy police statements and careless media reviews of the limited information so far.
