To this day I still habitually pick up conkers though it's **ahem** been some time since I stood in a playground getting my knuckles pummelled by the wee blighters. ;)

I had never heard of the game before I came to the UK! 😆 We only make little figurines from conkers and matchsticks, so no injuries involved (unless you miss the conker and drill a hole in your hand). I do appreciate a nice conker in my pocket though, the smooth surface is so calming to touch

I couldn't in good conscience recommend the game of conkers, no, not at all, but... hard agree on the wonderfulness of playing with the smooth surfaces. 🌰
