#MakersHour
Q1. Who are you and what's a favorite making related thing that I have been given?
A1. Jeff M, US rain shadow saltwater coast of the Cascadia bioregion (hello non-exceptional Douglas fir trees!).
A good friend of many years' standing (and she stands rather tall, at that) gave me a carob-wood handled seam ripper especially made for me. The point reverses into the handle for safe stowage.

Oh, that is a lovely gift!
That's lovely!
@MakersHour Curiously I rarely use the seam ripper since I do more embroidery than piecing or assembly, but it is still dear to me.
Many objects hold a reminder of the person who gave them to me: Frannie's hand crank coffee grinder, Aunt Susan's Turkish coffee pot. For a long while it was Dad's old bicycle until I bought my own, not many years ago.
