“You shouldn’t celebrate his death.”
He celebrated the deaths of Black and Brown people daily. He is a nazi. You are a nazi sympathizer.

No celebration. Just watching chickens coming home to roost, like Malcolm said.

Fake virtue signaling and demanding empathy for a man who said “empathy is for the weak” and whose actual last words were violent anti-black and anti-trans dogwhistles is absolutely delusional.

Having pity for a man who would gladly try to kill you for not being white is insane.

Some of you are so concerned with looking like “good people” and being perceived as a “nice person” that you’re going to excuse White violence against black and trans people to publicly mourn a certified nazi. Or make yourself appear to be a “better person,” when in actuality, you’re no better than KKKirk himself.

Demanding sympathy for documented nazis makes you nazi sympathizers, and some of the worst humans on this earth.

Paradox of intolerance is up. No rest or mourning for the wicked.

@ErickaSimone I am of the radical opinion that killing Nazis is a net social good, actually.
@Lana apparently killin gnatzis is a controversial opinion for some reason and I’m just trying to figure out why.

@ErickaSimone @Lana In my father's time "the only good Nazi is a dead one" was mainstream option. This was WWII and and its aftermath.

There were popular songs in that war with titles like "let's put the axe to the Axis"

@LukefromDC @Lana let me go play chumbawamba’s “Nazi” right fast.

@ErickaSimone @Lana

My father told me that the most important work he did in his life was killing Nazis.

@ceartas @Lana your dad is a real one.

@ErickaSimone @Lana

Growing up, most of my friend’s fathers served in WWII. Both of my parents served. My friend Joey’s dad served, in the Wehrmacht. He deserted, and fled to Spain with his Jewish bride. He was one of the Boy Scout leaders, and the most vocal Antifascist of all the dads. I lament that so many of my generation, the children of those who served, seem to have forgotten the horrific lessons of that war.

@ErickaSimone There's a whole bunch of bitches out here who need to read Karl Popper. Immediately.
@TheJen SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE THESE PEOPLE READ POPPER

@ErickaSimone @TheJen

Fuck me...

Say someone has never read Karl Popper and wanted to...

Where... Is... Is there a good _starting_ place?

@ErickaSimone @TheJen

Is `In Search of a Better World` a good place to start?

@401matthall @TheJen the open society and its enemies had a chokehold on me in college. Start there.

@ErickaSimone

Perfect. Thanks for the response!

@401matthall @ErickaSimone @TheJen I guess for those people just that one bit about tolerance was meant :)

@ErickaSimone People tried to pull that shit with me yesterday. I reminded them I heard no outcry when it was black and trans women getting shot in their homes no demands for justice when kids die at school. I didn't hear "this isn't right" while people were kidnapped and shipped to concentration camps. Everyone keeps telling me to shut up or let it go or I'm stupid about all this.

I ain't never been a nice or good person, I'll be happy and shut up when all of these shit rags get thrown away.

If you are worried about looking like a "good person" after Kirk's murder consider what your duty is to oppose those who would hurt the vulnerable members of society (and profit from it!)
