@skinnylatte since this VP job reports to the Chief Marketing Officer, I forwarded this to a CMO friend to see if they might know someone who might be interested. Our friend has worked for several OSS, data management and analytics, and [not really but the marketing hype says] AI companies in the Bay Area. @czds and I first met him, OMG, twenty years ago, and he and his family have become good friends since. Good guy who has hired a lot of great people.
@jadp @skinnylatte @czds I'm curious why the VP of Tech would report to the CMO. Is that a common thing?
@baishen @jadp @czds in many cultural institutions including museums, technology is not a C level job. There is *maybe* a CIO some places but not here.
@skinnylatte @jadp @czds Makes sense, but marketing seems an odd place for it to be under.
@baishen @jadp @czds marketing in a cultural institution is very different from marketing in a tech context. they are responsible for ticketing and audience and general brand reputation and user experience
