AWS Cost Explorer hashtag MCP Server is available: https://awslabs.github.io/mcp/servers/cost-explorer-mcp-server/, docs https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws-cloud-financial-management/aws-announces-billing-and-cost-management-mcp-server/ p neat for exploration

it a new release so I'd suggest playing around with it, don't get rid of ur folks working on cost-to-serve yet. cloud computing and #AWS is full of traps

small gotcha example using https://awslabs.github.io/mcp/servers/cloudtrail-mcp-server/

doc assumes existing knowledge with the AWS log ingestion, retention, and analysis ecosystem,w/o which
u may assume CloudTrail Lake is default option for retention & querying against CloudTrail logs(not true & not cost-effective)

To stay-up-to-date with AWS tips and tricks and gotchas that'll having clutching your credit card submitting support tickets at the brink of tears, podcasts, blogs, following the right people (eg Corey Quinn, Nick Frichette), & watching conference talks regularly helps in addition to regular work

consolidating aws knowledge can be tricky especially if ur job isn't full-time cloud-computing management.

better alternative, if you had resources, would be delegating this to the right technical people who can provide the right data and implement the most efficient tools based on ur needs(eg me, i'm available for consultation services and can help u avoid 1000 ways to cry over AWS billing and resource planning/management)
