Agreed, and of course reminds me strongly of Joe Barton(R-TX) similar approach in (secretly) initiating the Wegman Report in 2005, with similar falsehoods (like in claimed peer review), similar falsifications & cherrypicking, plus much plagiarism:

Once again, climate denialists try to bypass science.
Luckily, even with a short time allowed, scientists pushed back very hard with serious rebuttals to junk. Thanks!
