Ken Butler@snaprails I have been through Virginia Water on the train any number of times, but I am not sure I had ever stopped to wonder where the actual Virginia Water was. I had to dig out a map. (There is a surprising amount of green between Sunningdale and Windsor.)
@nxskok Yes there is, mostly Crown Estate which ensures that very little of it has or will be built on. then to the south of that, west of the station is Wentworth Golf Club, you can probably smell the money from the train. South of the railway & M3 is a large swathe of open land, Chobham Common, which remained undeveloped because it was needed to practice killing people 😃
