Current meta-analysis shows it may actually be, "2/3rds of all teen pregnancy are by adult men," so not limited to this age group.

@jeffowski So, I have a few issues with this statement...
1). 39% is a minority, not a majority -- 61% is a really big number.
2) 9.5 years is a very large gap. If 30% of the 39% are 20 year old men impregnating 19-year old women, then I fail to see a problem.
3) Yes, 29 year old men fathering children with teenaged girls has maximum 'ick' factor, but this appears to be phrased to be purposely alarmist.
4) Yes, men don't take the consequences of their fertility seriously -- and that's absolutely something that should be focused on.
For the record, I asked my family doctor for a vasectomy at 21, and again at 25 -- and was refused both times for no valid reason ("Too young, not married, might change your mind"). I say 'not valid' because I'm supposedly mature enough to choose to bring a child into the world, but at the same time, not mature enough to know I do NOT want to be a father? That's BS. I ultimately had to seek out a urologist that operated a vasectomy clinic to get one, at 27.

39% are in the 20s. Another 30% are in their 30s and older.

Because JAILBAIT is applied against the GIRL instead of calling the MAN a PEDOPHILE.
@jeffowski Actually it's uglier:
70% of children born to teen mothers were fathered by men over the age of 20.

The mismatch between statutory rape law on paper and in practice is driven by social, cultural, and prosecutorial discretion, not legal theory. (70-39% -> 31% teen moms' daddies are >= 30 yrs old, that's far beyond any Romeo & Juliet exemption. And DNA tests would make proving “sex” trivial even years after the fact.
But hey, that's racist and misogynist USA.
I've been trying to figure out how to respond but it's in fragments and phrases that refuse to coalesce into recognizable sentences and complete thoughts.
Actually, that's rape... the result of rape, incest and child sexual assault... the CHILDREN are being held responsible... for the rape, the pregnancy, and the child...
