With You And The Rain is this lovely embrace of introversion I’ve been in love with this season. Giving us this impression of Fuji after having some alcohol felt so relatable. #AmeToKimiTo #WithYouAndTheRain
I really embrace this show because it feels like an exploration of what it’d be like as a fairly independent, introverted person, who enjoys their own company, to have something that softens them. Kimi extends Fuji is both small and big ways that feel beneficial, not that she’d suddenly be outwardly clinging to others, but perhaps be not as defensive of their space which can come with introversion. #AmeToKimiTo #WithYouAndTheRain
And the show as a whole still respects Fuji’s nature, instead of treating her as someone who must change or is wrong in what they do, but tends to lean towards understanding her and not belittling her. Introversion isn’t in of itself a bad thing and it’s cool when a show embraces that. Like I don’t expect this to end with her being a little butterfly, but perhaps Kimi making her reflect a little and soften around the edges. #AmeToKimiTo #WithYouAndTheRain
Because as has come through with Ren and Mimi, Fuji can have friends who understand the distance the girl inherently wants but can still embrace there’s something underlying where they want a friend and to understand other people. #AmeToKimiTo #WithYouAndTheRain
