That is a shopping street, they are quite common in Osaka. This is what the street looks like a little past that mural. Looks like my alt text didn't save. It reads Guruppo's private parking. I think the owner of the shop's name is Guruppo and that is his parking space.

When it cools off a little, the Osaka Castle is my go-to route. Beyond that there is a 30k loop where there is a canal with dozens and dozens of kid drawn squares that are really cool.
