I'm looking for #ecovillages or similar communities In west or south of France or North of Spain.

I'd like to visit and volunteer for a few days or even weeks, in my VW camper-van.

Do you know any? Or anybody who can help me find some?

I'd already contacted cat farm, but cannot meet their (very reasonable) requirement to stay for a minimum of one month. And nice to see land van Aine. An old school friend participates there.

@PrPl I went through WWOOF.

I actually think that it being paid is a good thing, overall. It ensures sustainability (literally) in that it allows people to work on and for it.
And it keeps the participants committed. While also preventing scammers and spammers.

But I think the main downside is that the "one same fee for all" is unfair for low income. Maybe some "pay by income" would fix it. Though that's rather complex.
