Want to be incredibly amused? Read the following sentence with the Windows OneCore voices: "Ernesto is an empath."
How about: "Ernesto is unchecking the empath checkbox."
@TheQuinbox Unch seems to work on basically anything. Such as unchpants.
@MutedTrampet @TheQuinbox Strangely it doesn't work with unchill. But you can do uncherror.
@BTyson @TheQuinbox The neural voices mostly share OneCore's dictionary, but this particular one was fixed there. Unch is still pronounced as unchanged, but it doesn't work on unchecking or any of the others. You can still be an ernestoer, though.
@TheQuinbox Thajts the funniest thing I've heard all week and I'm giggling right now
@TheQuinbox Lets start ernestoing! But then again, maybe we aren't ernestoable after all.
@TheQuinbox WTF! Wonder why it does that?
@TheQuinbox Bizarre. I recall the days of the Keynote PC Plus. It reliably used to pronounce the word "stickybeak" as "stickyfingered".
@sjtaylor And it still does. Just tried with NVDA bestspeech and it does that.
@TheQuinbox LOL WHAT! how. o wait. why?
@TheQuinbox OK, what in the hell? This is like some Microsoft Sam level craziness.
@TheQuinbox Lmao what the hell
@Kaliah @TheQuinbox Or how about this one? Have you had to use applications where unchecking a check box was necessary?
@Kaliah @TheQuinbox There's also one where if you put as and then a 5 digit number it'll do strange things. For example, 55555 is the same as 55555.
@BTyson @TheQuinbox Lol yep. These voices are broken.
@Kaliah @TheQuinbox But the as one works also on SAPI5. If you try the unchecking/empathy one, it doesn't work on SAPI5, only OneCore, if using Zira. But if you use David, it works on both SAPI and OneCore because for some reason David uses only OneCore data but Zira still has the old data from Windows 8.1 days and uses that on SAPI5, where that bug doesn't exist. Also it makes another weird case, it can say @samtupy 's last name correctly on Zira SAPI5, but not Zira OneCore. But David now can't say it right at all.
@Kaliah @TheQuinbox @samtupy The ernesto/empathy one partially works on SAPI5.
@BTyson @Kaliah @TheQuinbox @samtupy Seems like it's only the US ones it does it with.
@TheQuinbox I don't have Windows handy at the moment. What's that do?
