not a shill (but this is a referral link) .
If you want a solid printer that just works (tm) without any nonsense, honestly - Prusa's CoreOne is the best.
I believe they also make their printers in the USA region - if you're so inclined. https://www.prusa3d.com/product/prusa-core-one-kit?p2p=%40TinkerWorm

@tinkerworm Printers sold via their website are made in Prague, printers sold by their subsidiary PrintedSolid are made in US iirc.
@k1m I wouldn't know that, since I live in the UK. Thanks for letting everyone know.
I know how that lots of “murica" bros are buying chinese crap, which always makes me question their motives :) And regardless of that stuff - I find prusa printers much more trustworthy - hence referrals.
@tinkerworm No worries! I've visited PrintedSolid and met some wonderful folks at Prusa. While I won't pretend they're perfect, I'm generally happy with their support and hardware. my MK3S was absolutely a workhorse for years, the XLs I ran were fantastic, and the Core ONE seems really nice.
@k1m jealous :) I'm hoping to visit their factory in Prague at some point, when I'm around that way. Won't travel to USA atm, for obvious reasons.

@tinkerworm Shoot them an email and follow their social media. I know they've done tours a bunch in the past for eager makers, but not sure what the status of that is nowadays.

Good luck 🤞
