Awake because painkillers have worn off and my mouth is sore again. What’s weird is that the pain is at the base of my tongue rather than around the tooth. Guess it’s an immune response.

Slightly concerned to still be in pain after 4/5 days of stronger antibiotics and grateful we made the call not to travel today. Holidaying when you’re popping painkillers all the time and constantly searching for soft foods doesn’t sound fun.

It’s raining again, it’s been raining on and off over the past 24 hours and the forecast says thundery showers all day today. Goodness knows the soil/plants/animals will be grateful.
