Thanks to the Monty Pythonesquely named VLT (very large telescope) in Chile 31/ATLAS (interstellar comet) is in the news again today. There is a wide variety of articles and opinions on its origins and chemical composition. (Quite hilarious actually) “Could it be an alien spacecraft?” has come up frequently. “Nonsense on stilts!” is my preferred response. Great story regardless of your perspective on the subject.
