william.maggosI guess this wouldn't fit the comic exactly but until social media existed, we mostly still relied on websites being talked about by off-web mass media to get known. the virality of social media boosts changed that. collectively, we now had that power. closed platforms with ads and algos tried to wrest it back from us, but then came the social web. the open web greatly expanded free speech but it took fedi to give us #DemocracyOfReach
