To be precise, Jikji is the oldest surviving book printed using _metal_ movable type. The book known as "Auspicious Tantra of All-Reaching Union", a Buddhist book in the Tangut language printed using wooden movable type, is dated the 12th century. It is considered the oldest surviving sample of the wooden movable type technology.
