This is an interesting bit of skeuomorphism I've been seeing lately. An "album cover" for a digital album that kind of condenses the back, front, and spine of what you'd usually see wrapped around a physical CD case.

I think it's a pretty good compromise: preserves both the art and functionality of the original form, and is still useful in its new digital form.

I'm being told this is just a cassette inlay and now I feel silly. :D I'm just young enough to never have actually bought a _branded_ cassette, so I didn't realise they had that half-width back panel. Oh well, still works in digital!

@jonikorpi haha, yeah, they sort of opened on a hinge that mounted at the back so there had to be a small section of back piece for that hinge and the covers wrapped around into that section but didn't usually continue beyond it, because then they'd get in the way for pulling the tape out.

There was something really satisfying about designing your own covers at just the right size and slotting them in for your err... "backup" copies 😆
