@dannotdaniel OK, this one goes from arguable into outright incorrect. Titter was never anywhere close to where the ATmosphere is now on the de/centralisation spectrum.
Yes, the network architecture of the fediverse distributes power much more reliably. As long as people don't cluster on a handful of giant services (sideyes masto.social, .jp giants, Threats, etc), in which case it's not dissimilar to the level of centralisation in the ATmosphere now, with BlackSky and others running Relays.
