My "new" vintage PC: a Dell Dimension 4300S I scored off eBay. Let me boot it up.

Next project: dual boot Windows 2000 and @fedora Core 1 for the kicks.
@fedora the last screenshot before I wipe this system.

It seemed to have been used at a pet shop and is a literal time capsule.

Old Firefox and Thunderbird, AT&T Yahoo DSL, and a whole bunch of old icons.
Yup, on the 2000 installer.
Got it installed, now I need drivers.
Drivers installed, now viewing Toastytech.com on Internet Explorer 5!

Now on to installing Fedora Core 1.
Burned the FC1 ISO from F42 and booted it. Yay!
Oh no, a bad address error. I'm betting it's a bad RAM stick.
Only one RAM stick here, maybe I'll need to borrow RAM from my dad's place or find it on eBay.

Maybe I'll try Ubuntu if Fedora fails.
Tried again with Fedora 7. Live CD booted this time. Yay!
Installing now!
Finally done! Yay!
I'm surprised a 18 year old version of Fedora could check for updates. I'm updating Fedora on the Dell (not to 42 obviously).
@neel this was my first Linux distro and seeing that wallpaper has me feeling all sorts of ways.
