You can definitely tell that some of Apple's first party app redesigns were made by people who don't use the apps. Like Podcasts burying the chapter list so deep on the Mac, or the confusing series of things you need to know to click on to get to the show notes. If you used the app even once a week you would never choose to hide these things away like that
@stroughtonsmith The refresh option on the Mac AppStore being hidden in the menu bar is kinda crazy honestly. I didn’t even know it was there

@stroughtonsmith Or the ongoing disaster that is the Books launch screen. There used to be a full height “Currently Reading” row on top in the app. I think a year or so back, that got replaced with a smaller height row so that lot of store recommendations can be displayed below that.

I’ve reduced my Books store purchased drastically after that.
