every "I, a 'progressive' journalist, went 'undercover' to a right wing elite social gathering and listened to what they had to say" piece is the fucking same. oh wow they were actually surprisingly sociable to you, an educated cis white person? oh they ate food and had various jokes and mannerisms, not unlike you or me? you don't say. these people currently control the US government, platforming them for any reason is unambiguously net-negative.
@jplebreton The weird thing about that is - I've sat in on a few places like that, and while they are polite people, you can get them to announce their vile beliefs by simply casually asking about them.
You have to pretty much steer the conversation to pointless inaninities to avoid hearing their opinions. You'd have to go in and do nothing but talk about food and haircuts, and even then they'd find a way to drop some casual racism.
It's always the journalist telling on themself.
