Hello from the hill! #efmf #yeg
Serena Ryder is absolutely killing it as always. #efmf #yeg
Rainbow Kitten Surprise was interesting. Not really my thing but they put on a great show. #efmf #yeg
Current Swell was… swell! Definitely an add to my playlist. #efmf #yeg
The Mentors session with Aysanabee, AHI, Julianna Riolino, and Jennifer Castle was fantastic. Honestly, the sessions are one of the better reasons to come to Folk Fest! #efmf #yeg
Stephen Wilson Jr, his father’s son, was pretty good for never actually moving his lips. #efmf #yeg
Allison Russell was just amazing. So cool to have her return to her very first festival as a headliner. Very well deserved! #efmf #yeg
The Slocan Ramblers were wonderful. Incredibly talented and super catchy. #efmf #yeg
Goldie Boutilier killing it as usual. Every time we see her she just gets better and better. So excited to see her success! #efmf #yeg
Holy moly, what an evening. Danielle Ponder with an INCREDIBLE voice and then The Roots blew the imaginary roof off the festival with a next level party. #efmf #yeg
Day FOUR on the hill with Tallisk from Scotland! It was a Celtic party! #efmf #yeg

Okay so I’m officially a Jesse Welles fan. His lyrics are absolutely top notch on point. Totally worth the risk in a brief thunderstorm! 🌩️

Go find his music wherever you consume music. #efmf #yeg

Richy Mitch & the Coal Miners were fantastic. Was fun to see the duet with Jesse Welles!

Then John Butler, all the way from Australia, stunned the audience. He’s such a talented guitarist! #efmf #yeg

Mt. Joy rounded out the evening in the most Folk Fest way… in the pouring rain.

My socks my be soggy, but that’s okay. #efmf #yeg

And with that, it’s a wrap on The Edmonton Folk Music Festival 2025. Excellent work by the organizers, given some bumps, that’s 46 years of music making in the books. #efmf #yeg
@chad I heard that party as I walked to stage 6.
@chad I love music festivals. Looks like you're having a most excellent time.
@chad Just plain AWESOME! And, I first saw Allison here.
@chad Edmonton is so great with all the back to back festivals. I still misss it in the summertime.
@Bwacton we are known for being a festival city!
@chad interesting is the correct word. I thought the show was pretty boring, but listening to the recorded music in preparation for efmf was fun. 🤷‍♂️
@justinlachance could have done without the constant flash bangs from the video displays beforehand, too!

@chad haha yeah I had to lower my hat and shove kettle corn in my mouth to keep me sane.

Please tell me you caught Aysanabee. He’s incredible.

@justinlachance of course! He was fantastic. Glad Serena had him for a song too!
@chad Totally! All in all, a successful first night at the fest!

@chad This proving the lie of “Alberta is nearly all flat!”

[you’re probably thinking of Calgary, which is why they have that tower]

@chad what's up with all the tarps? Do Albertans hate touching grass?
@chad
Ah looks like much nicer weather than we had at Calgary's! 🌧️🌧️🌧️
