@YouGiveMeFever Read. Haven't watched cable news in any significance for a few years. I read multiple sources for each story. I have RSS feeds setup. Amazing how many "according to <first reporting sources>" there are with very little else except for the repackage sources "view," bias, and commentary.
@YouGiveMeFever I read whatever has been boosted into my feed, usually daily, but I don't usually go directly to the landing page of any news sources to see what they think is important for me to see. (Which circle should I click?)
@YouGiveMeFever All of the above?
It's too much attention to horse race and 'scandals' and when there is policy issues, it's both depressing and framed in competitive terms more than substantive ones, and there's a lot of local work that needs to be done, community and organizational reflection and redirection, and yet the national stuff still matters too much because of the sledgehammer nature of federal policy.
@YouGiveMeFever Watch? No. Who has time for some gasbag to try to pad out a half hour with irrelevant drivel. Reading is way faster and you can aggregate multiple sources, taking note of the spin words each uses and from that, glean what the actual information they're working from is.
