Imagine cutting all the deals needed to make the Apple News+ app work and then letting it rot for years and allowing it to be a total garbage app.
Travis@davetron5000 I’m not disputing this (I agree!) but I am curious what you’re bothered by the most.
@travisbell I think the most batshit thing it does is if you block a news source, its stories still show up with titles and attribution but it says “you blocked this”.
Otherwise, its complete lack of configurability and customization. Eg you must have US politics featured.

Also, why is search buried in the “Following” tab?
And your comment about politics is very on point. I don’t mind the odd thing but it sure does feature that content prominently, even though I’ve never given it a reason to do so.
There’s hints of a great app here, which is why I turn to it every day. They just need to build a better experience.
@travisbell if the underlying data feeds were available to developers I bet a great app could be made that met lots of needs
