When I found this group illustration of women in science I was pleased to know that I knew 8 of the 12. How many do you know?
I'll research the 4 that I do not know so I can drop them into conversations, just like I dropped this photo of Mae Jemison & #NichelleNichols from the set of #StarTrek TNG in Social Media on a regular basis.

@spocko I'm curious -- which 4 didn't you know?

IMHO the two biggest giants on this list are Curie and Noether -- but it seems everyone has heard of Curie, and almost nobody has heard of Noether. And that's a shame.

@obot50549535
Emma Noether, mathematician, Katherine Johnson mathematician, Ta Youyou pharmacist, Lisa Meitner physicist
Although I suspected Katherine Johnson was the mathematician depicted in hidden figures, I wasn't positive so I didn't count her as one I "knew"
@spocko I once rode on an elevator with Grace Hopper.

@spocko Know: 11 of 12 (TIL about Tu Youyou, thanks!)

Shook hand of: 1 (Mae Jemison, squee!)

Suggest also: Vera Rubin, Jocelyn Bell-Burrell, Rosalind Franklin, Catherine Herschel, … gets to be a long list. 😀
