By which I mean that politics has become a farce where memes are often taken more seriously than things like science and thoroughly researched journalism š®āšØ
Wow. youāre particularly tilted about it. Iād expect this kind of reaction on Facebook but not on a refined, sophisticated place that clearly isnāt social media.
Go the fuck outside dude.
Are you guys not on the same side of the argument? Not about the buttholes and their expulsions, but about where forums/message boards rank versus Facebook.
If, like all things, itās a gradient, Iād plop these message boards far left of the likes of Myspace, and xanga, etc.
Thatās not the point of contention. Itās about whether or not forums/message boards (regardless of political ideology) can correctly be categorized as āsocial mediaā.
They wrongly contend that not only is that possible but in fact inarguably correct.
I, on the other hand, correctly pointed out the ridiculousness of such a claim.
This in turn made them jump to the separate incorrect conclusion that my slightly brusque wordplay was proof positive that I was overcome with apoplectic fits of all-consuming rage and that fondling lawn trimmings would be an effective remedy.
TL;DR: Itās all very silly and inconsequential, but Iām having fun š
