Getting the cover right for the second edition of my #ttrpg Ex Novo took a bit. I really wanted to express that it's a map-drawing game so the idea to bring in a drawing hand seemed obvious. But man was it finicky to find a good #layout that seemed balanced.

f you're curious, here's the "final" version. And the link to the Kickstarter:

(Late pledges are still open for a bit!)

@sharkbombs oh fun! I like the final design you landed on. I was thinking of playing today with the Kickstarter PDF you sent out! If I can get my kiddo into it with me 😅
@Vidyala If you do, let me know how it went! I'm always eager for feedback.
@sharkbombs I suppose I’m a good play tester in the sense that I’m easily confused and working alongside an 8 year old, haha. “Will these instructions work under extreme pressure? let’s find out!”
@Vidyala I hope the final layout will - there's an overview of game steps and game actions in there that's not in the playtest preview. I think that will help a lot with making the game survive under pressure.
@sharkbombs That’s one reason I haven’t tried it yet; I feel like I had to flip a lot to the overview in the original game and I know this version wasn’t quite there yet. I did play the original though so the concepts aren’t new. I’ll report back if I have info!
