tyzbit@RandamuMaki if LinkedIn did something bad, why do we need to change our behavior? why aren't we pressuring LinkedIn to change their behavior? "voting with your dollar" or boycotting companies only works if consumer power is unified.
instead of "Just don't use LinkedIn", I say force a conversation about the bad they're doing and give them real consequences: pressure other companies into taking a public stand against them, calling our elected representatives, telling your friends, family and colleagues not to use LinkedIn and then, of course, don't use it yourself.
@tyzbit Because they won't change. Neither will Meta or X. Neither will any of the other corporations. In the end there's just fascism. Corporate greed directly leads to fascism and systems which support fascism. Just leave the nazi bar to the nazis and then torpedo it from space. Don't give them a chance to rub any of their shit on you. Set up alternatives and let the fascist-held systems rot.
