#Microsoft outsourced administration of classified #DoD data to cheap workers in #China. 🇨🇳 🕵️

My latest update on https://karl-voit.at/2024/07/17/Microsoft-compromised (see bottom of article for further links)

Do you really want to #trust companies where such a thing is not only possible but also done? 🤷

@publicvoit funny that. Isn't the west now in a cold war with China? That would be the equivalent of having outsourced military intelligence to the Soviets during the last cold war.
@publicvoit This is also a reason why for me, I consider Microsoft an existential threat to the Canadian government as it offloads more of its IT infrastructure to Microsoft.
@hfinyow Well, read the CISA quotes in my article. 😉
@publicvoit Yep. I didn't follow the story closely, and I'm not a security expert, but it seemed pretty clear after the initial story broke that all of Azure was irredeemably compromised. That Windows itself could be compromised hadn't occurred to me, but isn't surprising under the circumstances. Given the scale, it's hard to imagine how it could be fixed.
