1987: Luis Leon survives torture at hands of Pinochet, escapes to USA, receives asylum

2025: ICE disappears Leon (now 82), lies to family that he's dead, he's actually in a Guatemalan hospital

He did everything right and legal, and ICE disappears him anyway. This is fascism through and through and anyone who supports this is complicit.

@icanbob @QasimRashid America has always been fascist with a very lovely wardrobe designed to look like democracy. This country has never been “a great place that has made some mistakes”. It has always been a fascist operation to extract wealth from populations and regions deemed unfit/inferior.

@icanbob @QasimRashid and the definition of those who are unfit or inferior has changed to fit the narrative of the pretend democracy. it’s all about white supremacy, colonialism, and systemic oppression of peoples and populations to keep the flailing severed arms of the old European empires alive.
