Yesterday I was unwrinkling my brain with embroidery, and redid this flower at least three times before I was happy with it, and then something clicked and it felt like I unlocked another level on the embroidery skill tree... Anyway, it's not done yet, but I think it might turn out pretty nice!

One of my gripes is that a reasonably nicely done satin stitch looks pretty much the same done by hand as it does on machine embroidered things, so you can spend two hours minutely going over a surface just for it to look like it took 20 minutes of babysitting a machine...

Ah, the future, I kind hate it

And done. The flower at least, still needs the seam embroidery! I feel like I'm getting a handle on this thing.
