The incident happened about 40 km from #Nizhny_Novgorod, a city with a population of about 1.2 million people. But local authorities are trying to hide information about the accident.

Firefighters in chemical protection suits arrived at the scene, and photos of orange tanks marked as hazardous cargo appeared in local communities.
