@EugestShirley this source https://www.sfgate.com/sfhistory/article/morrell-airship-disaster-over-berkeley-17290635.php
and via your link https://www.historynet.com/was-this-dirigible-builder-stock-swindling-grifter-or-a-deluded-visionary/ both say no-one died.
But this older (dutch) source says 7 died and 13 were heavily injured.
https://www.delpher.nl/nl/kranten/view?query=%22John+Morrell%22&coll=ddd&page=1&facets%5Bperiode%5D%5B%5D=1%7C20e_eeuw%7C1900-1909%7C&identifier=MMHCO01:000080123:mpeg21:a0002&resultsidentifier=MMHCO01:000080123:mpeg21:a0002&rowid=1
It also differs, basically says the Ariel crashed, in the english stories the second one crashed.
The History guy covered it too..(edit: he also says no-one died) https://thehistoryguy.com/videos/the-largest-airship-of-its-time-the-morrell-airship/
@EugestShirley hmm delpher is really good, wish they applied it to all newspapers.
like https://www.loc.gov/newspapers/?dl=item&end_date=1906-06-01&ops=PHRASE&qs=John+Morrell&searchType=advanced&start_date=1906-05-01&location_country=united+states looks like i have to look at whole pages? And bunch a others are commercial. (including one that is "free" but just sends you to a commercial one)
But any dunno don't feel like figuring it out. Bit sorry for bothering you with it, but also not? Find inconsistency mention inconsistency...
