Respectability is bullshit, if you support games, support porn games.
If you support workers, support sex workers.
If you support humans, support humans that get horny.
Puritanism is one of the greatest evils on a deeply poisoned planet.

this blew up gotta mute blah blah
support a cute unemployed trans girl in Iowa (me) by following her streams:
It’s not that sex is sin, foe of moral purity, or euphoric nature’s gifts oppose All That Is Holy. Oligarch profit model controls labor through onus of dependents; coital relations must issue descendants. (Biblical rendition fit to Providential vision, stoic capitalism based on self abnegation rather than a healthful view of wealth.) Hooked on corporate patent medicine. Squeezed to produce stock enriching energy. See our computer graphic charts: “A work of Art!” too valued to despoil with your (I’m sure) petty mortal cares.
@ambiguous_yelp @TheZeldaZone To that I say:
@TheZeldaZone
Exactly. If it doesn't affect you and you can opt-out, mind your own fucking business.
Nobody's making you buy porn games. Nobody's making you watch them play porn games. You can filter out porn games if you don't want to see them. And after using it for three sentences in a row, the phrase "porn games" doesn't even feel like it even means anything anymore.
Nobody's making you hire sex workers. You can say "no thank you" if a sex worker propositions you in exactly the same way that you can say no if someone who *isn't* a sex worker propositions you. Although, there is actually at least one difference between those situations - sex workers are much more likely to take no for an answer.
I mean, goddamn, if only these people cared about the fact that people do sex at each other as little as they care about the unhoused.
@zvhxxl @TheZeldaZone I draw porn, it's genuinely the nicest, most wholesome community I've ever been a part of online.
Clients are supportive and respect boundaries (I'm asexual, and I've never had anypony make a pass at me). A big part of why I love my job is that I have high standards for clients, and this is a community where I get good clients.
And of course, my work has as much artistic value and thought as any SFW piece.
I think comments like the above come from a place of ignorance.
@zvhxxl @TheZeldaZone Of course, there are parts of the porn industry that are exploitative and skeezy, definitely. But that problem is solved with more agency and mainstream acceptance, not less. I've never seen a puritan initiative that made sex workers safer or more secure.
But I've seen plenty that do the opposite; a non-trivial amount of exploitation is the direct result of shutting down legitimate, safe platforms and driving workers into more dangerous spaces. It's misguided at best.
@clintruin @zvhxxl @TheZeldaZone I don't discriminate in either direction. I know some religious furries as well who are wonderful critters, and who are supportive of what I do.
My criteria for whether somepony is a puritan asshole isn't whether they're religious, it's whether they stigmatize sex workers and artists. Unfortunately there's a growing movement among both religious and secular groups to harm sex workers, often dressed up as "for their protection."
@Natanox @foxyoreos @TheZeldaZone @zvhxxl
🤔
"@clintruin is posting is just making shit worse."
Is it though?
Is my question really "making shit worse"?
Really?
keep that in mind the next time they ban a book you enjoy....
Banned in America! Christian Nationalists are demanding the removal of books from public and school libraries across the country in a growing wave of culture war battles

@clintruin @foxyoreos @TheZeldaZone @zvhxxl I thought a while about replying to this, but it sufficiently bugs me since I once also believed in this hateful nonsense.
Holding beliefs that fulfill us with meaning or purpose in general is an inalienable human right and a core element of every free society, including spiritual beliefs. What you're posting there is not a problem of "religion" as such doing something, to say so is as naive as proclaiming that "politics' the problem".
@clintruin @foxyoreos @TheZeldaZone @zvhxxl
Also you're handing an argument on a plate to (as an example) countries like Israel, who're mingling religion with politics to discredit global scrutiny as antisemitism (which it isn't).
And in case you somehow find that important, I'm indeed an atheist.
@Natanox @clintruin @TheZeldaZone @zvhxxl I think the big thing I want to bring up is that there's a temptation to say that anti-porn sentiments come primarily from religious circles, and as a porn artist I can promise you that secular people are fully capable of being prudes.
The danger I see as a NSFW artist is that "I'm not religious" gets used as an excuse by secular anti-porn groups to deflect criticism. You can get rid of religion, but it won't get rid of puritanism.
@Natanox @clintruin @TheZeldaZone @zvhxxl So a conversation about "are all Christians bad", or anything like that..
I think it misses the point that regardless of how somepony feels about religion, it's not the root cause of this and there are attacks coming from secular groups too, and defending against them is harder when critters say, "well, we atheists don't have these problems at least."
Bashing religion can become an excuse to ignore puritan movements that are much closer to home.
@Natanox @clintruin @TheZeldaZone @zvhxxl if somepony has a beef with religion, that's not really my business; all I know is that some religious/atheist critters support me and some don't, and it's super hard to deal with atheist puritans when a lot of atheists don't think that moralism is a problem in atheist communities that needs to be addressed.
Religion often plays a role, the evangelical right is pretty awful atm. But atheists aren't excluded, y'all buy into this shit too sometimes X3
@foxyoreos @clintruin @TheZeldaZone @zvhxxl
"You can get rid of religion"
Only on the surface level though (wasn't your point, but it's important to mention). Same with sex business, really, you can't just police away inherent parts of the human condition. This simple truth also explains why authoritarian policies in general keep failing to adress issues, it's equally applicable on the "war on drugs" (curiosity + desires), "anti-LGBT" (literally sexual nature), supression of opinion…
@Natanox @clintruin @TheZeldaZone @zvhxxl what I mean is that getting rid of religion wouldn't get rid of the other stuff.
The religious right has been horrible to queer communities, but as has already been shown by some prominent atheists, somepony being an atheist is no defense against bigotry or patriarchy or puritanism.
My issue is I see groups say "get rid of religion and.." - my response to that is, no, I need you to address sexism, bigotry, etc in *your own* communities.
@Natanox @foxyoreos @TheZeldaZone @zvhxxl
I'm the one spreading hatred...?
So we're seriously going to pretend there isn't a proud 1000-odd year tradition of christians hating on women, gay people, and killing abortion doctors?
It's great you're so tolerant Natasha. But beiieve me when I tell you some of my gay friends have not been so lucky with christians.
Frankly, your viewpoint minimizes their pain and their experiences with TRUE hatred.
But yeah, I'm the fucking problem right?
@Natanox @foxyoreos @TheZeldaZone @zvhxxl
I can only hope they show as much tolerance for you as you show for them.
@duckdotexe @zvhxxl @TheZeldaZone yep! It's also ironically a community that is really good about consent and respecting boundaries, but it sort of makes sense when you think about it because consent and boundaries are so baked into every interaction that everypony gets a lot of practice with asking what you're okay with, how far to go.
There's no such thing as a perfect group and any community will have some bad actors, but generally my experience has been better than in other spaces.
I 100% agree and the gradual normalisation and acceptance of Puritanism and thoughts within my generation, inc the majority of people at my uni (which is well known to be very progressive) has been really rather disappointing to say the least. Esp as we were seen a few years back to be challenging societal norms and now it just seems like we are reverting back everything. :(
Although saying that, respectability should not be confused with being polite, accepting and treating people how you want to be treated is a good thing to do and the thing people should expect in general, though don’t use that as a way to be vindictive or nasty to people in general, and if so, it’s also perfectly valid to call people out on their shitty behaviour.
@nazokiyoubinbou @TheZeldaZone Is it a slippery slope even when they actively say they want to classify LGBTQ+ media as porn?
Just look at the existing mania about drag queen story hours. I'd call pornography the canary in the coal mine, but it's not even that, they're coming after everypony at the same time, all in the name of "decency". Queer creators get banned more often from platforms like Patreon and Youtube.
There's no world where any of this ever ends with porn.
@TheZeldaZone Great post!
Dear reader: there's a few trolls in the comments of OP asking questions and trying to stir the pot. Don't engage. Block and move on. These people don't want their minds changed, they want to sow chaos (much like the puritanical sort, come to think of it).
@TheZeldaZone YUP!!🙌🔥
I've said it before, & I'll keep saying it until it stops being true:
Ignorance by virtue of faith has caused more cruelty & harm than all greed & pride combined.
