Trying out Ubuntu 25 on my Razer Blade 18. Setup was smooth but I get low gaming performance when an external monitor is connected via display port. Everything is fine on the internal display. I want wayland for HDR. Am I out of luck? #ubuntu #linux #nvidia

@3dshooter are you using the proprietary Nvidia drivers? Not the open ones. I found they helped with performance under Wayland .

@penguinclaw69 yep I switched to the closed variant same problem. When only running on the internal display everything is fast.

Update, i put KWIN_DRM_DEVICES=“/dev/dri/by-path/pci-0000:01:00.0-card:/dev/dri/by-path/pci-0000:00:02.0-card” on my /etc/environment, this improve so much my performance on external monitors, but i only use if i using on charge why the battery runs out very quickly
