That's a nice audiobook

It would be a shame

If

You tuned out and had to backtrack a bunch

(let's be honest I do this both with audiobooks and written books)
Audiobooks have the additional problem that sometimes I fall asleep if I'm listening to them late at night - this made me waste a bunch of hours in Spotify listens and since on Spotify you pay by the hour for audiobooks is TLDR why I do not listen to audiobooks on Spotify after trying it once - I literally ran out of hours with 30min left of the book đŸ¥²
@JenMsft My recommendation: pay for audiobooks you can actually grab and store on your backup drive, i.e., that have physical files. Currently Audible provide those, and other than that… I guess, only buying physical CDs (if it's still current). Otherwise they are not yours, you can theoretically get up and find out the book was removed from the service.
@menelion @JenMsft +1. Can highly recommend https://libro.fm/
Buy audiobooks & support local bookstores

Libro.fm makes it possible for you to buy audiobooks directly through local bookstores.

@JenMsft
Ouch.
@FritzAdalis luckily for that case I actually already owned the book, so just read it myself - still, annoying, though
@JenMsft Not sure what you’re using, but on iOS you can set a timer that stops anything playing.
@abosio Android
@JenMsft They must have something like that.
