@arstechnica I'm part way through but this is a great story, basically the subcontractor who installed fibre for the big ISPs was unsatisfied with the service they actually got as a home customer from those ISPs, and because they actually owned the means of production, they defected, installed their own fibre and became a competing ISP. LOL.
