Saturday night I went up Silver Star in the evening and found a spot to sling my hammock for a few hours. At dawn I set off to do what I call The Big Loop: Bluff Mountain-> Copper Creek-> Starway. I like to do this loop a couple times a year but usually I spend a night down by Copper Creek or start from the north. This time I started from Grouse Vista which means I went over the mountain twice in 24 hours. +/-5890' (1795m) over 18.7mi (30.1km). My legs are toast. π«
First time I did The Big Loop I got passed by some trail runners. They were doing a race on my loop plus like 20 MORE miles. π
